The Police Media Unit stated that the school principal connected to the incident was arrested based on a complaint lodged by the parents of the student who is alleged to have been the victim of his sexual molestation.
The suspect is to be produced before the courts on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, an underage schoolgirl is reported to have been subjected to sexual molestation by two youths.
Police stated that the incident had occurred on Tuesday evening, when the victim had gone to pluck Rambutan fruit.
The girl has been admitted to the Akuressa Hospital.
