Police said the victim, an 18-year-old resident of Hamburugala, had been stabbed to death with a sharp object by the suspect.
Preliminary inquiries have revealed that the stabbing was carried out over a longstanding dispute between the two teenagers.
The suspect is to be produced at the Elpitiya Magistrate’s Court today (9).
